Learning & Development Series
The BPC provides tailored professional development opportunities and in‑depth training to its members on topics that directly relate to their work and the current landscape in which they operate. Many opportunities to attend extend to members of members (or “members-by-proxy”) for added membership value. All events are delivered virtually.
The program offers several sessions per year on topics in a range of areas. Sessions are curated by a volunteer committee of members and industry professionals. They are a mix of peer-to-peer learning, guest experts, and discussion forums. Each session is complemented by supplementary resources sent out post-event for continued learning. In some cases, sessions are recorded and made available to the membership and wider industry.
Member Hubs
An integral part of the L&D program, Member Hubs provide BPC members with a virtual space to share news about their organizations, seek guidance from their peers, invite collaboration, and discuss shared challenges. Member Hubs are held 2-3 times per year from October to June.
All members are invited to submit a brief report using a standard set of questions submitted in advance. During the Hub, share this 3-5 minute update verbally to the group in attendance. The report digest and meeting recording are sent to the full membership after the event.
