Every year, The Word On The Street strives to turn Queen’s Park into a book and magazine lover’s paradise by showcasing Canada’s hottest new books & authors, as well as the best Canadian magazines!

Adopt an Author is a yearly fundraising campaign, hosted by The Word On The Street Canada in cooperation with The Word On The Street Toronto, that provides literary lovers with the opportunity to get more involved with the festival and to show support for both the festival and our wonderful Canadian authors.

Canada’s Premier Celebration of Reading and Literacy Marks 21st Festival
with a Strong Focus on Electronic Publishing.

A plethora of electronic readers and platforms have recently been made available to all consumers of content, completely revolutionizing the traditional print publishing sector and offering many new and exciting ways to produce, share and discuss ideas and information.

What: Annual The Word On The Street Toronto Festival – Free Admission
When: Sunday, September 26, 2010 – 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Where: Queen’s Park, Toronto

At the 2010 festival, The Word On The Street Toronto will introduce the Digital Drive Stage. Experts and industry professionals will converge to discuss a range of digital issues and connect with the wider community in an open ideas forum. Launching with the support of the Ontario Media Development Corporation, the Digital Drive Stage promises to add an exciting new e-dimension to this year’s festival.
