eBOUND Canada today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Ingram Content Group Inc. on behalf of the Association of Canadian Publishers for the use of Ingram’s digital asset management (DAM) platform CoreSource® to archive and globally distribute content for the association’s member publishers.
“After a thorough evaluation we found that Ingram’s digital asset management platform CoreSource best met our publisher’s needs to easily and economically deliver their content in digital formats to any destination,” said Robert Hayashi, President and CEO, eBOUND Canada. “There is also great security that comes from their having a state-of-the-art disaster-recovery system and our members will be able to see gains in workflow efficiency from having all of the content and metacontent in one location.”
Ingram’s CoreSource® is an easy to use, online solution for the storage, management, and distribution of digital content. CoreSource® delivers a secure, searchable content repository and a high-capacity data distribution network, allowing publishers to move digital content easily and swiftly from their organization to any channel partner globally.
“eBOUND and the Association of Canadian Publishers recognize that a combination of Ingram’s digital asset management platform and our substantial retail relationships around the world can grow sales for their member publishers,” said Marcus Woodburn, Vice President of Digital Products, Ingram Content Group. “At Ingram, we offer market-leading content distribution solutions that allow publishers to focus on the core of their business, content creation, rather than delivery and IT infrastructure.”
eBOUND will continue as stewards of the service for ACP members including management, administration, oversight and support. Says Hayashi, “We’re delighted to be able to bring this service to the ACP membership. The agreement with Ingram marks a key moment in meeting our mandate to advance any publisher’s digital engagement no matter their size or level of expertise.”
